He is a passionate Ph.D. student of Biochemistry (Phytomedicine option), interested in the preservation of all natural phenomenon, building the efforts through research, training, documentation of intracellular and beneficial efficacy of phytomedicine, and the knowledge that will also incorporate the aged-long indigenous therapies into health care delivery system. I am eager to learn and help individuals to better understand the genealogy of natural medicine, and their adaptability driven by genetic chains of various species. He is also the Head of the Process Technology and Galenical unit, a subsection of the Product Development and Quality Assurance Department, Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation.

He started his research career in the year 2000 as a Research Officer II, in the Department of Product Development, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, after graduating from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, where he obtained the first and second degree certificate.

He later furthered his academic career at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where he also obtained M..Phil honor in the Department of Biochemistry (Phytomedicine option) at the College of Basic Medical Science, Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

He is presently a Chief Research Officer in the Department of Product Development and Quality Assurance, Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency, Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and has over 23 years of medicinal plant and research experience with over 12 publications, he authored, and has taught and mentored some undergraduate and postgraduate students in the baseline study of pre-clinical study. Other accomplished research works are:

  • Conducts research on the interwoven relationship of medicinal plants in the six geo-political zones of Nigeria
  • Training of traditional practitioners on the best indigenous practices and eventual integration into health care delivery system.
  • Document and preserve Nigeria Natural medicines practices and its medicinal plants, perhaps going into extinction.
  • Investigates the research potentials of medicinal plants in the management of human pathologies and associated morbidities.
  • Develop and evaluate lethal doses of medicinal using international standard and research-based protocol via matured experimental animals.
  • Toxicological evaluation of galenicals
  • Research, formulate and standardize herbal products in line with GMP and GLPs.

Moreover, he has expertise in electrical wiring, building of new electrical panels on printed circuit board (PCB), its repairs, and with professional knowledge on video coverage and photographic instrumentation.
