She highlights her accomplishment in the field of Microbiology, with a focus in environmental and public health. She has a Master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology and Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the prestigious University of Benin.

She possess a passion for professional growth and excellence hence I recently completed a certificate program in Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, offered by the World Health Organization (WHO)/Tropical Disease Research (TDR) program in 2021. This certification has further enhanced my skills in Implementation Research.

Anthonia started her civil service career in 2011 as a Scientific Officer 11 in the Tissue Culture Section of Biotechnology Unit at National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology, Ibadan. As a Scientific Officer she mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Plant Tissue Culture and also was a faculty member for Biotechnology Unit Annual Trainings. She played a secretariat role during the 2014 National Plant Varietal Release and also was the ASURI NACGRAB Chapter Secretary from 2013 to 2016. In 2015 l, Anthonia was a recipent for the Wageningen scholarship and went for International course on Plant Genetic Resources and Seeds /Centre for Development Innovation in India. She also was a beneficiary of partly funded Field Studies Council, UK scholarship to attend a training about the : Effective Ways of Monitoring and Communicating Biodiversity in 2015.

Currently serving as a Principal Research Officer at the Nigerian Natural Medicine Development Agency, She played a crucial role as the Assistant Quality Manager of the Laboratory for the ISO 17025 Accreditation and as a team member in conducting groundbreaking research for indigenous herbal formulation. She is currently the Vice-Chairman ASURI NNMDA chapter. Anthonia boasts an impressive portfolio of seven published journal articles. Anthonia is married and resides in Lagos with her beautiful family. She hails from Edo state and is a Christian.

Looking forward, her objective is to enhance her research skills and grow her career. This drive is motivated by her aspiration to make substantial contributions to the goals of Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency, contribute to the body of knowledge and the nation as a whole.
