Kayode Olaoluwa Olaniyan is an Assistant Chief Research Officer with Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), a research Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation mandated to promote Nigeria indigenous Medicine (TM) through research.
He has been trained both within and outside Nigeria on herbal medicine development, the subjects of intellectual property rights (IPR), bioethics, application of Helsinki declaration for safety of human subjects, the international conference for harmonization of technical
requirements for registration of pharmaceuticals for human use and good clinical practice (ICH -GCP). He is an active member of Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN). He has his background in Zoology (B.Sc. Hons.) and his interest in human health spurred his interest for second degree in Medical Parasitology (M.Sc. Hons). He is presently taking his Ph.D program in Veterinary Parasitology with focus on herbal therapies (R&D) for Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) caused by scabies and other ectoparasites. He has authored publications in peer
reviewed journals and a book chapter.
He won recognitions of competence and excellence in leadership roles and community development. He is analytical, organised with good Communication, skills. He is emotionally stable and of impeccable character.
