Mr. Hassan works with Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA). He is currently a Chief Research Officer and the Head, Department of Planning Research. Innovation and Statistics (PRIS). He is also a lecturer, Nigeria College of Natural Medicine Technology (NICONMTECH) and the Green Centre Academy for Alternative Medicine (GCAMP). Mr. Hassan has B.Sc. in Chemistry, M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry and currently a Ph.D student in Analytical Chemistry, Department of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry, Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State. His area of specialization is Phytochemistry and Quality Evaluation of Herbal Products and Herbal Raw Materials. Further area of his interest include- Formulation and Development of Herbal Medicinal Drugs from Plants, Safety Analysis and Evaluation of efficacy of Herbal Medicinal Products, Standardization and Quality Control of Herbal Raw Materials and Products, Research and Development of active Components from Herbal Raw Materials and Products

 Some of his contributions to the development of natural medicine include:

  • Formulation and Production of Herbal Mosquito Repellent Cream from Six medicinal and Aromatic Plants
  • Raw Materials Processing and Development of Herbal Anti-Malaria Powder from the Medicinal Plants
  • Formulation and Production of Herbal Medicated soap from Three Medicinal Plants
  • Formulation and Production of Herbal Tonic Tea from Four Medicinal Plants
  • Formulation and Production of Herbal Anti-Arthritis Ointment from Three Medicinal plants
  • Quality Assessment of herbal products developed in-house and those of the collaborators
  • Proximate Analysis and Phytochemical screening of Herbal Products.
  • Training of Traditional Medicine Practitioners on Standard Operational Procedure for Quality Control of Herbal Raw Materials and Products
  • Training and Supervision  of Industrial Training (IT) Students from different Universities in Nigeria
