National Innovation Diploma in Business Management and Information Technology

Goal:

To produce Business Management technicians with Information Technology Based skills.

The NID Business Management technicians with Information Technology should be able to:

➢ Conduct a simple structured survey on any aspect of business.

➢ Assist in the evaluation of investment assets for investment purposes.

➢ Assist in gathering basic statistical data.

➢ Assist in the preparation of short and long term business plans.

➢ Assist in writing business reports.

➢ Assist in market research and similar functions.

➢ Assist in carrying out effective purchasing tasks.

➢ Use Business Application Packages.

➢ Assist in Data Management.

➢ Assist in E-Commerce

➢ Assist in business system analysis and design

➢ Develop business Web Sites

➢ Assist in managing computer networks

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The general entry requirements for the NID programme are:

(a) The WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level or the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) or their equivalent with five credits including English

Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce (Literature in English and Oral English are not acceptable in place of English

Language) and any other two subjects from Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, ICT, Geography, Government, Agricultural

Science/Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

(b) National Vocational Certificate (NVC final) in Office Secretarial Assistant from an approved Vocational EEnterprise Institution.

(c) NBC in Business Studies.

(d) Interested  Professionals in other field of Endeavours.

National Innovation Diploma in Natural and Traditional Medicine Technology

Goal:

To produce skilled  and well-informed professionals in the field of Natural and Traditional medicine practices.

On completion of this programme, the  should be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of traditional medicine in the management of health challenges

ii,Be a global player in the natural medicine space.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirement into the programme is five (5) credit passes in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (S.S.C.E) or its equivalent i.e. General Certificate of Education (GCE O’Level), West African School Certificate (WASC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), National Vocational Certificate (NVC), Grade II Teachers’ Certificate, etc, at not more than two (2) sittings. The subject combination for admission into the programme must include; English Language, Mathematics, Biology and other two subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Geography, Home Economics, Further Mathematics, Statistics
