National Diploma (ND) in Pharmacy Technician
Goal:
To produce Pharmacy Technicians with the basic knowledge and practical skills required to support pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, storage and management of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
The ND Pharmacy Technician should be able to:
➢ Assist in dispensing and packaging medicines under appropriate professional supervision.
➢ Assist in the proper storage and inventory management of pharmaceutical products.
➢ Maintain basic pharmacy records and documentation.
➢ Provide appropriate support in prescription processing and customer care.
➢ Apply basic principles of pharmaceutical calculations and dosage forms.
➢ Observe professional ethics, safety and hygiene standards in pharmacy practice.
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The general entry requirements for the ND programme are:
(a) The WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level, Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) or their equivalent with five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Health Science and any other relevant Science subject.
(b) Relevant National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or equivalent qualification from an approved institution.
(c) Interested professionals in relevant fields of endeavour, subject to the College’s admission requirements.
National Diploma in Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Goal:
To produce professionals with basic knowledge and practical skills in complementary and alternative medicine for the promotion of health and wellness, with emphasis on safe, ethical and evidence-informed practice.
The ND Complementary and Alternative Medicine professional should be able to:
➢ Demonstrate basic knowledge of complementary and alternative medicine practices.
➢ Assist in the identification and preparation of approved natural and complementary health products.
➢ Apply basic principles of health, wellness and disease prevention.
➢ Observe safety, hygiene and ethical standards in practice.
➢ Assist in basic documentation, client support and health education.
➢ Recognise the limits of practice and make appropriate referrals where necessary.

(a) The WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level, Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) or their equivalent with five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other two relevant Science subjects.
(b) Relevant National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or equivalent qualification from an approved institution.
(c) Persons with relevant experience or professional interest in natural, traditional, complementary or alternative medicine may be considered, subject to the College’s admission requirements.
National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
Goal:
To produce Science Laboratory Technologists with the knowledge and practical skills required to assist in scientific experiments, laboratory analysis, research and the proper management of laboratory equipment and materials.
The ND Science Laboratory Technologist should be able to:
➢ Assist in conducting basic scientific experiments and laboratory analyses.
➢ Prepare laboratory reagents, specimens and samples.
➢ Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment.
➢ Observe laboratory safety, quality assurance and good laboratory practices.
➢ Record, process and report basic laboratory results.
➢ Assist in research and scientific investigations.

National Diploma in Business Administration and Management
Goal:
To produce Business Administration and Management Professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to support effective business operations, administration, entrepreneurship and organisational management.
The ND Business Administration and Management professional should be able to:
➢ Assist in the preparation of business reports and correspondence.
➢ Assist in the planning and coordination of business activities.
➢ Apply basic principles of marketing, accounting and financial management.
➢ Assist in human resource and office administration.
➢ Use relevant business and information technology application packages.
➢ Assist in market research and customer relationship management.
➢ Demonstrate entrepreneurial and basic business management skills.
➢ Maintain business records and support effective organisational decision-making.
The general entry requirements for the ND programme are:
(a) The WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level, Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) or their equivalent with five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any other two relevant subjects.
(b) Relevant subjects may include Principles of Accounts, Business Methods, ICT, Geography, Government, Agricultural Science, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
(c) National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) in a relevant area from an approved institution.
(d) Interested professionals in other fields of endeavour may be considered, subject to the College’s admission requirements.
